So I wanted to shorten the fork on my surly.
Went to a friend of mines garage, a motorcycle builder so I trusted him with the task.
First we tried to heat up the lugs to get the forks of, but it just sat to hard.

Cool! I can really relate to that feeling. A minor detail spoils the ride and you simply must do something about it. Chop-chop, butt weld it together, grind and it just feels better.
ReplyDeleteDid the operation make the front wheel bar-spinnable?
ReplyDeleteIs that Nicke's garage by the way?

If you mean Nicke Svensson(?) then yes it is...
Do you know him?
